Playgirl wants to pay Michael Vick a $1 million dollar donation to PETA for him to pose nude. Now, no brainer he has a great body, but who wants to see it? I'm not even sure that PETA is Pit Bull friendly...is it? I mean it would be good for the donation, but ugh, let's quit giving him exposure...especially this kind!

Please be thinking about Dr. Shaw, the vet who saved Savior, there was a bad fire at his clinic last night, one pit bull lost its life...so sad.

Savior's Christmas

Savior got her own Christmas special this year because of her wonderful heartwarming story. Looks like she has a home to go to thanks to our hero Mario and the help of Kathy and Dr. Shaw. We have another angel (who reads this blog) who has paid for her eye surgery. Savior will lose her left eye due to some trauma before being thrown from the pickup truck. So sad..but she is in pain with that eye hurting and needs it to be removed. She also is on her heartworm meds and hopefully will be completely healthy again. With the help of a few people this dog will have a good home and a new life...what more do you need for a Christmas Miracle?

Savior Update at Pet's Choice Vet Clinic

Well here she is. These pictures were taken 5 day after being thrown from a car on the interstate. Her head and eye injuries were the worst to look at. She has puncture wounds all in her pretty little head. She has that great short Pit Bull face, almost catlike to me. She is very skinny and has very long droopy nipples where she must have recently nursed some puppies. She is affectionate, but totally aware of her surroundings, very cautious of the dogs coming and going. Very friendly and loved all the treats we gave her.

Julie and I loved on her for a long while right here in the hallway, it was so cold outside that she wanted to be inside.

She really took to Julie and sat on her lap for a long time.

Kathy came and had Dr. Shaw take some pictures with her in her Santa hat :) Remember, donations are still needed for her care...contact me if you want to help.

Better late than never..Lennox turns 6!

Lennox turned 6 on October 22nd and he didnt get his party until over a month later..such bad parents are we, but atleast he still got a yummy cake. I decided to dress them up in former Vols jerseys this year and it was fun!

Mario is a Hero-Dog Thrown from Truck During Rush Hour

People can be horrible! Mario is a hero for saving this girl. 

Yes, the boys have a new fence!

Well it took long enough, but the boys have a new fence! The fencing company put up a temporary chain link one while they built ours but with all the rain, it took almost 2 weeks to complete it! So we got shadowbox on one side and iron along the back to keep our view. When they started putting up the iron I noticed that there were the pointed ends that I specifically didn't want because I am always a worst case scenario person and I thought, what if the boys are jumping trying to get at a deer or squirrel and their collars get hung!? No way, so I had they guys add an additional bar on top and along the bottom for extra security.

3 Radio Personalities in Memphis Spreading Stereotypes

It first started out with Captain Pat on Kix 106 talking about the article that I actually posted something about, giving CPR to your pets. He said on air, "You shouldn't give CPR to a Pit Bull because he will bite your face off". I do not listen to this station, but lots do. Stupid comments, why would someone say something like that, its not even true, I'm sure they might try to French Kiss you but...

Next it was on Fox 13, and interview with Mike Flemming who is a local radio personality and in this interview  said "All Pit Bulls should be wiped from the face of the Earth". We are not sure how to contact him, bc we found out his radio show is no longer on the air. 

Lastly and the WORST..Drake and Zeke on 98.1 morning show made some very hateful comments onair. Pawsitive Pit Bulls is calling for a boycott. I don't listen to them either. I've been told for more than 20 minutes they were on air and taking calls talking about how Pit Bulls were bred to kill, are born killers and can never be trusted. They also talked about watching out for your children because Pit Bulls will maul them. Sounds like a bunch of crazies trying to stir something up. Something that could get this town wanting some Breed Specific Legislation.

Yes, there was just a case of 3 Pit Bulls getting out and attacking a dog when a woman was walking him at 3am. The woman laying on top of her dog, so these dogs bit her to get at her dog. VERY sad, VERY disgusting and should not have happened. I just HATE it bc the owner was NOT responsible and is in jail now with a $500, 000 bond. He deserves it bc he does have a record and needed to contain his dogs if they were going to act like this. Reading further into the case, I have heard the woman who was attacked, well her daughter has a Pit Bull and knows how wonderful they are. So thank goodness they won't be going after Pit Bulls. 

I sent the Drake and Zeke boycott to 107.5's morning show, who I do listen to, Maney and Riley to see if they wanted to respond or have Julie Perry with Pawsitive Pit Bulls on, or myself. But no response.

This is our girl Rosa in her Halloween costume, we think she needs to wear this when we see her. Isn't she HOT!?! Our mom is running the Race For the Cure Today and thinks Rosa would have been the perfect mascot for the event!!

Ok, just so everyone knows. The dogs really don't mind being dressed up. All they have to do is sit there for about 3 shots and then they get a treat. Lennox is a TOTAL Pro. Lane, well Lane is Lane and he has ZERO attention span. He's the dog that does every single trick he knows when I have a treat in my hand to make sure he covers the bases. Lennox would sit and not move for hours, but Lane wanted to take his costume off of him or something, well..then wrestle. So here you have the outtakes of my dragons...
