It will be interesting having him on the same team as Donovan McNabb. McNabb has talked so many times about how his dogs mean so much to him and if he is having a bad day he loves to just relax and talk to his dogs. Now to have a guy like Vick on your team...UGH. I'm still a huge Donovan fan, but no longer an Eagles fan! GO COLTS!
Well the HSUS says dogfighting is huge there, so maybe he can speak out. And If Donovan messes up then those fans will be calling for Vick...I really wish he would reach out to those that have his dogs...and maybe thank them or SOMETHING..those are the real heros that have taken on them, not that they arent wonderful, but I'm sure lots of time was spent by them to rescue all of them..
I agree, I think he should at least thank those who stepped to rescue and rehabilitate the dogs that were taken from his property. It would be amazing if he worked with those groups to showcase how far they have come (some have even been adopted).
I do think people deserve second chances...however, I just haven't seen or heard anything from him -yet- that makes me believe he understands and regrets what happened. AND that he is really interested in making a difference (besides making a difference on the field). I hope he proves me wrong.
I understand if Donovan doesn't perform suddenly people may change their tune toward Vick. For die-hard fans it's all about winning. Unfortunately, that is somewhat of a sad statement in itself.
The main reason I started this blog is to show you some insight into my life and show how normal 'girly' girls like me own the most wonderful breed on the planet. For those scared, confused, or misinformed about Pit Bulls, see that I am just like you and these two boys are my babies. If one person learns something about Pit Bulls from me, I have succeeded. I am a Bellydancing, Jazzercising, Trekking, Boot Camper that loves her fiance and her 2 Pit Bulls dearly. I am a University of Tennesee Grad (twice) and a die hard Vol Fan, no other college teams for me. I am very opinionated and want to save all the homeless dogs in Memphis and around the world...well one dog at a time. Oh and I am also in search of the best bbq in Memphis, by the way.. I am also a small business owner managing the lifestyles of the rich and famous. It's fun and it pays the bills :)
